Tijuana Mission Trip
(Jan. 11th through Jan. 19, 2008)

Our 2008 Tijuana Group
Each year during Christmas Break, St. Paul’s students accompany a Capstone Missions team on a service trip to Tijuana where we do repair and maintenance work on St. Joseph’s Home (an orphanage for children with special health problems), the Missionaries of Charity houses (Mother Teresa’s order) and housing in poor neighborhoods.

If your are interested in the service trip, email Chuck.

St. Paul’s Lenten Project 2008

Overview:  We collected pennies for Farm of the Child children's home in Honduras.  At the Farm the children receive a loving home-like environment in which they can grow, learn respect for others, and become happy members of a loving family.  Our own Jenny Montague is there to support the home, and our funds went to help her mission there.  http://www.farmofthechild.org/

The Competition:  Boys vs. Girls! Loser makes winner dinner!  Boys won last year.  The dinner was April 26th at 7:00pm. Girls met at 5:00pm to cook.

The Rules:

  • There are two jars for collecting pennies.
  • Pennies are the only type of $$$ that count as a positive number.
  • Quarter, nickels, dimes, dollars, checks etc…all count as a negative number. (For example, if the girls want to win they would be wise to put quarters in the boys jar. Each quarter is equal to -25 pennies.)
  • Last year's contest started Ash Wednesday and ended at sundown, Saturday, March 22nd.
